1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SC Score (www.scscore.in), operated by Shopper Credibility Score (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. Your use also implies consent to data processing as per our Privacy Policy and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.

2. Service Description

SC Score provides credibility scoring services for India's e-commerce ecosystem, including:

  • Dynamic credibility scores (0-999 range) for consumers and sellers
  • DigiLocker-based identity verification for consumers
  • GSTIN/PAN verification for sellers
  • Cross-platform behavior tracking
  • API and CSV integration for e-commerce platforms

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Consumers

  • Provide accurate information during registration
  • Complete DigiLocker verification for identity confirmation
  • Understand that scores reflect cross-platform behavior
  • Use the platform in good faith without attempting fraud
  • Provide verifiable consent for data processing as per DPDP Act

3.2 Sellers

  • Provide valid GSTIN and PAN for verification
  • Maintain accurate business information
  • Deliver quality products as described
  • Accept that seller-fault issues impact credibility scores

3.3 Platforms

  • Provide accurate order and outcome data
  • Use proper reason codes for returns/cancellations
  • Implement API integrations securely
  • Respect user privacy and data protection requirements

4. Scoring Methodology

Scores are calculated based on transaction history, including:

  • Positive factors: Kept orders, timely deliveries, successful transactions
  • Negative factors: Returns (buyer/seller fault), COD refusals, late deliveries, counterfeit products
  • Fault attribution: System categorizes issues as buyer fault, seller fault, or neutral

Detailed scoring rules are available in the platform documentation. Scores update in real-time as new order data is ingested.

5. Grievances and Disputes

Users may submit grievances through their dashboard if they believe:

  • Score calculation is incorrect
  • Order data is inaccurate
  • Fault attribution is unfair

Our team reviews all grievances within 48 hours. Decisions are final but may be appealed with additional evidence. Unresolved grievances can be escalated to the Data Protection Board.

6. Intellectual Property

"Shopper Credibility Score", "SC Score", the SC Score logo, and domain www.scscore.in are trademarks of Shopper Credibility Score (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. (trademark application filed). Unauthorized use is prohibited.

7. Limitation of Liability

SC Score provides credibility scores as a tool to reduce fraud. We do not guarantee:

  • 100% fraud prevention
  • Accuracy of third-party platform data
  • Business outcomes or financial results

We are not liable for decisions made by platforms or users based on credibility scores.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these terms
  • Attempt fraud or system manipulation
  • Provide false information
  • Engage in abusive behavior

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator appointed by us. The seat of arbitration shall be New Delhi, India. Subject to arbitration, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.
